Payroll Coordinator

ZeniMax Media is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join our team at the corporate headquarters in Rockville, MD.  The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, strong multitasking and organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the preparation and processing of biweekly payroll including data entry, new hire enrollment and employee status changes. 

  • Responsible for maintaining employee data to ensure accuracy.  

  • Verify and balance benefit deductions prior to payroll submission.

  • Responsible to maintain electronic timekeeping system and ensure completeness and accuracy of employee timesheets.

  • Verifies completeness of employee information in accordance to established procedures to ensure on time and accurate payroll processing.

  • Run and distribute various payroll reports for HR and other departments

  • Verify employment and wage information when requested by State or Federal agencies to determine unemployment eligibility.

  • Respond to general queries from employees on payroll policies and procedures.

  • Prepare Payroll binders and file payroll related documents

  • Perform additional projects and administrative duties as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of related payroll administration experience

  • Proficient skills in using MS Excel

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to stay organized in fast faced environment

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively to all level of employee

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now not required but would be a plus
