To expand its programming team and strengthen its internal technology, Arkane studios is seeking talented Tools Programmers. These positions are opened to different levels of expertise, from industry veterans to less experienced candidates. Reporting to the Lead Tools Programmer, the ideal candidate is responsible for developing and maintaining a wide range of production tools in the game editor.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement new tools across various game development disciplines (art, level design, animation, build automation)
- Communicate with other departments to improve and debug existing tools, workflow and practices
- Provide support and documentation to the users of the tools
Qualifications
- Programming experience in Edition Tools (level/map editor, keyframe/timeline tool based, visual node edition system, Fx/Particle editor…)
- Strong knowledge of C/C++
- Experience in QT/C++
- Ability to write clear, maintainable, portable code
- Ability to fearlessly jump into large, existing code bases
- Experience with game engine content tools and pipeline
- Excellent systems design experience
- Experience balancing performance and maintainability
- Knowledge and experience in 3D Math (matrix,…)
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Good communication skills in French and in English
