Systems Administrator

Division: Escalation Studios | Department: IT | Location: Dallas , TX, US

Escalation Studios, part of the ZeniMax Media Inc. family, is seeking a Systems Administrator to join the Information Technology department. This position will be the primary point of contact for all server hardware, network hardware, Windows Active Directory settings, Perforce, and network connections to other sites. This individual will work alongside other members of the ZeniMax Media IT team to support systems and networks for other locations, as well as desktop issues onsite at Escalation.


  • Work independently and as part of a team to troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, identify and isolate technical issues with systems, software, and related infrastructure
  • Hardware and software performance analysis and tuning
  • Responsible for provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure
  • Consider best security practices throughout all aspects of the infrastructure, and work with the security team to deliver secure solutions
  • Collaboration  with other IT team members and customers throughout the business on incidents, support requests, projects, and other initiatives
  • Ability to excel in a time sensitive, fast paced, 24/7environment
  • Available to  work off-hours to perform maintenance or in case of emergencies
  • Identify, research, and resolve any issues related to our infrastructure (e-mail, printers, wired and wireless networks, video conferencing, VPN, etc.)
  • User account creation, modification and termination across multiple applications such as Active Directory and Exchange
  • Track hardware and software assets in an inventory system
  • Learn from and educate your fellow team members


  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in System Administration
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to work on several tasks at once with frequent interruptions while meeting sensitive deadlines.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 including:

    • Exchange Online 

    • Skype for Business Online 

    • SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business 

    • Windows PowerShell administration 

  • Azure administration

  • General Windows infrastructure administration including: 

    • Windows  Server 2008R2, 2012, 2012R2, and 2016 

    • Exchange

    • Lync 2010/2013 

    • Active Directory

    • DNS

  • Network fundamentals, administration and troubleshooting
  • Able to lift 60 pounds (monitors, computers, printers, servers, boxes), crouch beneath desks, and work on ladders (for wireless system maintenance, etc.)

Desired Skills

  • Multi-forest/multi-site  AD architecture and troubleshooting
  • Automation and scripting (PowerShell)
  • Storage it technologies such as NetApp, EMC, Dell, etc.
  • VMware and other virtualization platforms
  • Cisco network technologies and firewalls
  • SCCM and/or other patch management technologies
  • Linux administration
  • Perforce or other source control applications
  • Familiar with ITIL practices and procedures
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Any relevant certifications
