Senior Graphics Engineer

Overview

Bethesda Game Studios is looking for a Senior Graphics Engineer to join our team in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Writes clear, maintainable, C++ code
  • Understanding of various console API’s and underlying hardware
  • Keeping console support functioning across tools, exporters, and editor
  • Works well with other engineers, artists, and designers
  • Accurately estimates schedule and delivers high quality work products on that schedule 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years professional software development experience
  • 4+ years professional C++ game development experience
  • 4+ years professional gaming console programming experience
  • Expertise with PS4 and XBox One API’s and hardware (including newest variants)
  • Expertise in building multithreaded, real-time systems
  • Expertise with profiling and optimizing on the PS4 and XBox One
  • Experience writing systems balancing performance and maintainability
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and problem solving ability
  • Strong real-time graphics knowledge

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Physically Based Rendering
  • Experience with C++ 11/14
  • Experience with STL
  • Experience with game editor plugins/modification
  • Experience in Max or Maya plugins
  • Experience playing previous Bethesda Games Studios games
