Do you want to work with a fun, passionate, collaborative team developing a AAA game experience? We are looking for an exceptional Monetization / Systems Designer with a passion for making sticky systems for successful games. The candidate will report directly to the Lead Designer and will collaborate with the design team, analytics group, marketing, and tech department to develop, optimize, and tune fun and compelling monetization features as well as other related sticky systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the economy/monetization components  for competitive multiplayer
• Work closely with design team to develop a framework for a successful live game
• Manage pricing of virtual goods and balance free vs. paid currency in the game economy
• Design game features that monetize and re-engage players
• Review reporting on in-game currency usage, earning and purchasing
• Drive new initiatives for monetizing the customer base
• Work with a team of analysts to propose new features and define, collect and analyze metrics

Requirements

• 2+ years as a monetization designer or similar role in the gaming industry
• Excellent knowledge of the monetization of online games
• Knowledge and understanding of game design fundamentals
• Creativity
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organization skills and ability to multi-task priorities
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and confidential environment
• Passion for making great games
• Strong desire to continue to learn and grow as a designer

Pluses

• AAA game with monetization experience
• Shooter and/or action game experience
• Experience in competitive multiplayer games
• Strong mathematical, statistics, and analytical skills
• Additional design experience in non-monetization systems
